The Ohio Department of Education and Workforce recently released its 2025–2026 report cards for public school districts across the state. The reports give parents and residents a standardized way to examine academic performance, student progress and other educational outcomes.

That information matters because taxpayers deserve to know what they receive for the money invested in public education. Statewide, approximately two-thirds of all property taxes collected go toward schools, and many Miami County districts also collect a local income tax. In other words, county residents invest millions of dollars each year in educating local students.
