Introducing the Civic Capacity YouTube Channel
A new opportunity to learn more about local government here in Miami County
Today, this publication is pleased to announce that it is launching the Civic Capacity YouTube Channel at www.youtube.com/@civiccapacity
Many of the local governments here in Miami County have their own YouTube channels where these governments post their public meetings. However, the fact that these channels exist is not exactly well publicized. The Civic Capacity YouTube Channel is designed to be a central location for local government meetings here in Miami County.
The channel will not only have city government, but also local school board meetings as well. The purpose is to help our citizens not just read about the decisions being made in local government here in this publication, but also have an easily accessible place where these meetings can be watched.
Another important aspect to this channel is to allow for comments. Some local governments do not allow comments on their social media channels, including YouTube. However, by providing these videos on our channel, this publication is providing our YouTube audience an opportunity to interact with the videos by leaving their own ideas and insights.
We would encourage all our readers here at Civic Capacity to head over to www.youtube.com/@civiccapacity and look at the catalog of public meetings we have already collected since December 1st; there are recordings of meetings from the City of Troy, City of Tipp City, Village of West Milton, Bethel Local Schools and the Troy City School District.
Of course, if you have any ideas or comments that you wish to share, please do not hesitate to reach out at pinnaclestrategiesltd@gmail.com. And again, thank you for your continued support of Civic Capacity!
What Do You Think?

A New Way to Support This Work
Our readers and subscribers have been asking for a new way to support the work being done here at Civic Capacity! Some of our readers do not like the idea of having to sign up for another subscription service. Some of our subscribers occasionally want to give more support through a one-time transaction.
Civic Capacity is partnering with “Buy Me A Coffee” to give our readers, subscribers and friends an opportunity to give one-time support to Civic Capacity. Personally, I don’t like coffee, but I will never turn down a nice iced tea. If you feel compelled to support this effort, just click the button below.
A Huge Thanks to our reader, Mike, from Piqua, who provided me with a nice iced tea today! Thank you!
Thanks for reading today’s Civic Capacity Newsletter! Please feel free to share this information with your friends and neighbors.
Also, please consider subscribing to our work. If you are a free subscriber, please consider becoming a paid subscriber. For less than $1 a week, you can get timely and conversational updates about the decisions that are impacting you and your community!
Good idea. Putting all in one place
Awesome! I was not aware that local governments have YouTubes of their meetings but would hate to have to search for them individually in any case. I will definitely take advantage of this new resource!
