Dear Reader,
This has been a remarkably different Christmas. First and foremost, the weather this December has been far from what we would expect. It doesn’t seem we will be in for a White Christmas this year, but more of a Damp Christmas, if that is such a thing. Also, this year is a bit different for personal reasons. This past week I presided over my last meeting as Council President here in Troy. While the Christmas season is often filled with expectations of new things, up to this point, Christmas seems to be more about closing a chapter rather than turning the page to a new one.
However, that is not to say that this year hasn’t had it’s fair share of new doors open — most notably this particular project. This year has been a remarkable journey, and as I reflect on the past seven months, I want you to know that my heart is filled with gratitude for your unwavering support and engagement. Over the past few weeks, our comments section has been growing to the point where Civic Capacity is becoming the online home for civic discourse in our community.
More than that, your curiosity, insights, and passion for civic issues have been the driving force behind our community's growth and vibrancy. Together, we've explored critical topics, shared diverse perspectives, and fostered a space for meaningful dialogue. Your contributions have not only enriched our platform but have also helped shape a more informed and connected community.
As we celebrate this festive season, we want to express our deepest thanks for being an integral part of CivicCapacity.com. Your readership and participation have been the greatest gifts we could ask for.
Looking ahead, we are excited to continue this journey with you in the new year, bringing even more engaging content, thought-provoking discussions, and opportunities to make a difference in our communities.
Wishing you a holiday season filled with joy, peace, and cherished moments. May the magic of Christmas fill your heart and home, and may the new year bring you endless possibilities and happiness.
Also this season, feel free to share what you have discovered here at Civic Capacity with your friends and neighbors! As you are out and about celebrating this season with others, tell them about the amazing work you are a part of here and the insights and information that exists here. Good information and conversations only have power when they are shared.
Thank you for being a part of our story. Here's to a bright and hopeful future together!
Warmest regards,
Bill
Merry Christmas to you too, Bill, and thank you for all you do to create such an important space to share, and grow as communities do together! 💕
We have been fortunate to have you to navigate & report upon, honestly, the issues facing the city. We know you will give us the real story, unembellished by prejudice or your own agenda. Please remain engaged in local politics, you are one of the few I trust. Thank you, & Merry Christmas!
