The Civic Capacity Countdown - #10: The Hidden Champions of West Main Street
It's close to our First Birthday here at Civic Capacity!
It’s ten days until the Civic Capacity celebrates its first full year of publishing relevant and valuable information to our communities here in Miami County. To help mark the milestone, this publication for the next ten days is going to countdown ten of the most widely read and most impactful stories that have been written the past year.
This publication is growing each and every day and whether you have been with us from day one or just yesterday, looking back at these stories help remind all of us how far we have come, not just as a publication, but also as a community.
Today, our story comes from this past March as we had a conversation with Courtney Hart of Ivy Court. Courtney’s store was caught in the crosshairs of the city’s 10-month closing of West Main Street and this publication was fortunate enough to have her share her story with us.
Courtney’s story reminds us all that local businesses matter in our community. By patronizing these small shops and by helping tell their story, we are creating a stronger community each and every day.
