Since 1846, the Miami County Fair has been an important part of our community and it is again ready to bring excitement and joy to everyone. This fair is much more than just an event; it is part of our heritage, in essence, it is who we are. Located north of Troy on County Road 25A, the Miami County Fair celebrates community spirit, tradition, and old-fashioned fun. Each year, families, friends, and neighbors gather here to honor the county’s deep roots in farming and agriculture and celebrate its colorful local culture. For many, the fair is the heart of what it means to celebrate small-town life in America.
When you visit the Miami County Fair, it feels like you are taking a step back in time while still enjoying the present. The fair started in downtown Troy in 1846 and has changed locations a few times before settling in its current spot in 1871. The fairgrounds themselves, with their classic buildings and open spaces, are like a living history book, ready to share stories with anyone who walks through the gates. As you wander through the area, you can almost hear echoes from years past, reminding you of all the fairs that came before and all the people who helped make them special.
