Do we know for fact that he asked these contributions? "One unified voice" aka "good ole boys"

I would find it hard to believe that two sitting council members from the same community in an adjoining county would randomly make a donation to a sitting council member that was not in a contested race. The odds of that happening seem beyond belief. I could very well be wrong and if evidence arose to counteract that, I would immediately put forward a retraction.

As for "one unified voice", when it comes to the existential crisis that Huber Heights poses to the entire county, yes, having our elected officials speak and work in unity to preserve Miami County is not something that is unreasonable to expect.

I do not disagree with you regarding Bethel Township. However, I am wondering what motivated you to request Mr Pearson's campaign finance report? You stated "multiple" donors. I know Webster defines "multiple" as more than one but the fact is, it was 2 and those donations were from 2023. Do you have information that there is something nefarious going on amongst these 3? Please if you do, share it. One last thing, in a previous article supporting the other candidate, you stated he had been elected by the Republican Central Committee to full fill the term. Prior to the election, how long had he served in the position of Recorder and how did he get that original appointment. I believe that too was by the Republican Central Committee? As always, I appreciate you and your work. With that being said, there is so much more you could write about using your God given talent to educate, lead and bring the community together. PLEASE do not allow that to be over shadowed by being used to further others agenda. You are WAY too good for that.

Mr. Pierce's finance reports are public record, available from the county board of elections website. As for the appointment process, when the previous recorder resigned, the Board of County Commissioners, legally appointed Dave Norman as Interim County Recorder until the Central Committee elected someone until the end of the term. A few weeks later, the Central Committee elected Mr. Norman.

Huber Heights is labeled as the biggest threat to Miami County? The commissioners claim to protect and defend our rural lifestyle, but where is that concern when it comes to Troy and its surrounding rural lifestyle?

Legitimate question. A ton of these struggles are squarely those that are being dealt with the school system. The overcrowding in Bethel is something that isn't seen around here. There are concerns about Miami East as well. I think one of the major differences is that when annexations are taken up in Huber Heights, the Bethel community is well organized and attends meetings. When annexations are taken up in Troy, those against the measure tend not to show up.
