Could you explain why you think that the addition of a traffic signal at that intersection would be problematic?

Rereading my comment, concerning was not the word I wanted to use. I am sorry for the miscommunication. I think some type of traffic control would help out there and is terribly necessary. Do you put it at Wilson or do you put it at Washington/Meadowbridge? The acute angle in which McKaig runs into 718 is also concerning. This one of those situations where you think the whole thing needs looked at - I am not sure just putting a signal at the 718 and Washington/Meadowbridge intersection will solve all the problems that could be solved.

If it were me? A traffic circle would be appropriate. Especially for cyclists, or as in my case, a tricyclest

These plans would put an additional load on both 718 and McKaig. Adding the traffic generated by the new school between those roads without accommodating bicycles would significantly reduce access to the city east of I-75.

Sure would. I know Councilman Jeff Schilling has been advocating for some type of traffic control device at 718 and Washington/Meadowbridge. This could make that situation much more concerning.

A traffic circle could not accommodate the 718-McKaig junction as it exists, but McKaig could be straightened to accommodate such a design.
